Faruk: I have been a freelancer and worked for Transitions Online (www.tol.org) as a country correspondent in Uzbekistan. I hold bachelor's degree in Print Media from Wartburg College, Iowa, and master's in Mass Communications from San Jose State University, California. The research paper “U.S. Missile Shield in Europe: Framing in The New York Times and Izvestiya” was presented at the International Conference “Beyond East and West: Two Decades of Media Transformation after the Fall of Communism” at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, on June 25-27, 2009.
